Website analytics
Crest & Co. uses first-party analytics to understand broad site usage and the customer journey. The current analytics code records events such as page views, traffic source/UTM information, device category, browser type and progress through the Forge. A random session identifier is stored in your browser's sessionStorage for the current browser session.
The first-party analytics code is designed around journey and performance information rather than advertising profiles. It does not ask you to enter payment-card details.
Forge and browser storage
The customiser uses browser storage for practical features such as keeping selected options, drafts and progress available while you use the site. Some preferences can remain in localStorage so the experience can remember them on a later visit from the same browser.
Checkout and payment
Payment is handled through secure Stripe checkout. Crest & Co. does not ask customers to send card details by email. Billing, contact and delivery information required for an order is handled as part of the checkout and fulfilment process.
Personalised order information
When you order, the House details and personalisation needed to produce the item are attached to the order so it can be fulfilled. For made-to-order merchandise, relevant order and artwork information may be passed to the fulfilment service used to produce and ship that item.
Uploads and Hall features
If you choose to upload artwork or use House/Hall features, the information you submit is used to provide those features. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.
